Obituary of Gloria Moro

Gloria Moro a life time resident of Santa Cruz passed away on May 16, 2017 at Paradise Villa after a struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 86. She was born in Santa Cruz on June 23, 1930, the daughter of Louis and Rose Lippi. She grew up in Santa Cruz where she attended Laurel School, Mission Hill Junior High and Santa Cruz High School.

Gloria worked as an assembler for Sylvania Electric for eleven years. She later volunteered at Dominican Hospital working in the gift shop for thirty four years. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed camping trips with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bunko, Skip Bo and taking daily walks around her neighborhood with her husband Ferd. She also loved riding on the back of Ferd's motorcycle. Gloria was a member of Italian Catholic Federation and the Sons of Italy.

She is survived by her sister, Rose Ferrari and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Ferd Moro; her parents, Rose and Louis Lippi and her brother, John Lippi.

Services will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the chapel on Monday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
