Eileen Bhojwani Knott

Obituary of Eileen Bhojwani Knott

EILEEN BHOJWANI KNOTT May 11, 1948 – September 23, 2017 Eileen was an incredible person to all of us. Words cannot begin to grasp the love she gave and received. Her care for others was above and beyond. She will be deeply missed by her family, who loved her dearly. From Stockport, England to Greenwich, Chicago, and Santa Cruz, she was the glue that held her family together. She was the love that can be found in her children: Sunil, Manik, and Nina. Eileen is the love that will live on in her grandchildren: Alex, Manon, Suzie, Aidan, Sienna, and Ariana. Her compassion, zest for life, and resilience will be forever cherished and missed by her beloved husband, Tom Knott, with whom she traveled, golfed, danced, and lived with respect and admiration. During her thirty-one years of marriage with former husband Ramesh Bhojwani, she rooted their children in strength, intellect to succeed, and worldliness to see the perspective of life that today keeps us in awe. Sisters Joan Morris and Mary Ozsanlav have been there since the beginning, as older sisters, with parents Ernest and Mary Toft passing early. Their 69 years of friendship was renewed daily, and grew with loved nieces and nephews. The three sisters' relationship defined lovely, surpassed gorgeous, and will be a bond that will bridge to Heaven. Eileen lived each day with an American-English-Irish perspective, a blessing that bestowed honesty, laughter, and love in everything she did. Survivor of cancer for many years, she lived fully and joyfully, never missing a beat, doing the things she loved most with her family and friends. The next game of golf at DeLaveaga, the next vacation with Tom, visits to her family and friends in England, the time with her children at lunch or at the theatre, or shopping and watching her grandchildren, all extended her life. We are grateful to the family, the friends, and the doctors that gave her hope and life many times over. We can't thank Eileen enough for being the strongest and most loving woman we will ever know. Friends and family are invited to join us on Saturday September 30, 2017 in Santa Cruz. A memorial ceremony will begin at 4pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz followed by a celebration of life at the Chaminade Resort at 6pm.
