Obituary of Antoinette Morse Hopping

Antoinette Morse Hopping Services will be Saturday for Antoinette Morse Hopping who passed away February 22, 2011 at her home in Felton. She was 73. Antoinette was born in Portland, Oregon on November 4, 1937, the daughter of Kermit and Charlotte Morse. A resident of Santa Cruz since 1965, she worked many years as a certified public accountant. She was very devoted to her clients and treated them like her family. She was very accomplished at needlework and was known for her museum quality needlepoint. She had been commissioned by the Getty Museum to do restoration work for them. She also enjoyed reading and traveling, having taken many cruises with her friends. She is survived by her son, John Hopping and his wife, Kathy of Felton; her daughter, Tina Hopping Johnson of Watsonville; sister, Toby Rae and her cousin, Roxanne. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1971; her son, Donald in 1976; her sister, Joanne and her parents. Services will be held at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 2500 Soquel Ave, Santa Cruz, CA on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park.
