Carole Hotchkiss

Obituary of Carole Lynn Hotchkiss

Scotts Valley - Carole Hotchkiss, a thirty year resident of Santa Cruz County, quietly passed away at home on the 12th of June, 2018 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Carole Lynn Currier was born in 1944 in Oroville, CA, and graduated from Oroville High School. She later received an A.A. Degree from Cabrillo College. As a young woman she met William/Bill Hotchkiss at Lake Tahoe and they were married within a year. Carole worked as a real estate agent and appraiser. She was an avid hiker, spiritual explorer, and heartfelt homemaker. She was a longtime member of PEO and truly enjoyed helping others. Carole loved art and became an accomplished painter. She loved being an active grandmother providing daily support for many years. She nurtured all and helped open a world of possibility to all she touched. Her contributions in life left the world a better place. Carole and her family returned to Tahoe every summer to celebrate life, love, family, friends and nature. Carole was a loving soul, dedicated wife and wonderful mother to her two children Jeff and Diane Baird. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren Madison and Marjory, and sister Christine Goldmann of Chico, CA. Carole will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Hospice of Santa Cruz and her angelic caregivers Sheila Wilke and Stephanie Peterson. Please visit the Benito and Azzaro homepage to share your condolences and reflections with her family.
