Obituary of Christopher Lee Dettore

Family and friends are mourning the loss of a loving son, brother, and very devoted friend, Chris Dettore, who passed away unexpectedly this past weekend at his Freedom, California home.   Born in Ottawa, Illinois, Chris moved to Santa Cruz at the age of 8 and attended Gault Elementary School, Branciforte Middle School, and Highlands Community School in Ben Lomond.

Chris was a talented automobile repair man, and for more than 20 years, earned his living and generously assisted his friends as a mobile mechanic. He was loved and adored by all who came to know him. His jovial nature and bigger than life personality will be dearly missed. Chris loved to play guitar, and also was very accomplished working with computer data programs. This past year, Chris was saddened by the loss of his canine companion, “Boy”.

Chris leaves his mother and step-father Becky and Mauro Del Peloso of Sparks, Nevada; his father, David Dettore Sr. of Florida, his brother and sister-in-law, Vito Dettore and Arlene Griffith of Boulder Creek; his Maternal grandparents Edward Bundy of Escalon, CA and Lola Bundy of Sparks, Nevada his loving aunt, Kathy Rue of Santa Cruz, and his dear friend Don Marshall of Santa Cruz.
Family and friends will soon be notified of the upcoming ceremony to say farewell to Chris and celebrate is life.
