Obituary of Sigrid Bargas

Sigrid Bargas passed away August 6, 2018 at Stanford Hospital at the age of 75. Sigrid was born in Santa Cruz on November 27, 1942, the daughter of Arthur and Alice Carlson. She grew up in Santa Cruz and was a graduate of Santa Cruz High School. A life time resident of Santa Cruz, she worked as an auditor for the County of Santa Cruz.

Sigrid was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She derived great joy spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, doing word puzzles and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed lunches with her co-workers, something she continued to do even after she retired.

She is survived by her sisters in-law, Martha (Marti) Bargas, Donna Escalante and Diane Shehan; her brother in-law, Greg Ray Bargas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Bargas; sons, Michael Bargas and Rick Bargas; parents, Alice and Arthur Carlson; brothers in law, Rudy Escalante, Sr and Randy Bargas.; sister in law, Rita Love and her father in-law and mother in-law, Greg and Alma Bargas.
