Adeline Cooper

Obituary of Adeline Elizabeth Cooper

Longtime resident of Santa Rosa

Adeline “Addie” Cooper passed away peacefully in Santa Cruz just days after celebrating her 93rd birthday. She and her husband, Jim Cooper, were owner/managers of Cooper Realty, active participants at St. Eugene’s Cathedral, as well as members of other local organizations.  They enjoyed their roles in giving church functions, doing charity work and being involved in the Santa Rosa community.  They resided in Montgomery Village of Santa Rosa for over 40 years.

Born in Florence, Colorado, raised in Sterling, Colorado, Adeline was the youngest daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Osterholt.  She was the devoted wife of U.S. Air Force pilot and veteran Lucian “Jim” Cooper and enjoyed the life of traveling and residing in many U.S. locations and Asia.  Jim preceded Adeline in death in 1998.

Addie was a skilled master bridge player, an activity she continued throughout her life, including recent membership at Bay Ave Senior Center in Capitola, CA. where she moved in 2014 to be near her daughter.  She was part of the community at Maria Del Mar Chapel in Santa Cruz.  As a resident of Dominican Oaks, she made many friends, and enjoyed being in Santa Cruz.

Addie will truly be missed by family, and her Jack Russel companion “Kiddo”.

She was laid to rest beside her late husband Lucian “Jim” Cooper at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Santa Rosa.  She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Rich, her grandsons, Darrin and Brian Radabaugh, eight great grandchildren, and extended family in Colorado.  Any kind acts of charity can be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
