Wellington White

Obituary of Wellington Robert White

Bob or Robert, as most everyone knew him, fell asleep in death on Friday November 23rd at his home in Scotts Valley.  The son of the late Wellington and Beatrice White, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Georgeann, his son Thom, and his daughter Tracey.
Bob was born in Bozeman, Montana and had 3 siblings, Deby, Larry, and Ricky.  Bob loved many things like sailing, riding motorcycles, his dogs and most important his family.  He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Georgeann on February 19th 1966, and together they raised two children in the Aptos/Soquel Area.  Bob worked and played in the sailing industry for years.  He even sailed and won the Pacific Cup race to Hawaii.  He loved riding his dirt bikes and loved racing AHRMA motocross.  His love for motor bikes continued even after his first stroke, as once he got his motorized wheelchair, he was off to the races again.  However some of his best moments were doing the simple things like house boating with his family, walking the dogs (Nick, Dot, Annie, Katrina, Caz, and Finn) with his wife Georgeann or just playing Bocce ball in the park with his “Bocce Buddies”.  His generosity towards his family, friends, and those in need was always on display.  Those of us who got to sail and ride through life with Bob will dearly miss him but will always remember the good times.  A Celebration of Life will be held on January 12th 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
