Obituary of Linda Towell

Linda Belan Towell

Linda Belan Towell, 64, died in a tragic accident on December 30, 2018, at Natividad Hospital in Salinas, CA. Linda was born on March 23, 1954 in Elizabeth, NJ, to parents Michael and Joan Belan.
Linda graduated from JFK Memorial High School, NJ, in 1972. After graduating high school, she had several careers and adventures throughout her lifetime, including modeling, being a retail buyer in NYC, being a Flight Attendant for Eastern Airlines, and then became a  Realtor for several decades. Linda married James (Chip) Towell on June 18, 1983 at Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz, CA, who had been the love of her life since she was just 15 years old. They remained married for 19 years, until Chip passed away on December 9, 2002.
In addition to the loss of her husband, she had lost both of her parents, and her only remaining surviving family members include her daughter, Caitlin Towell, and her brother, Michael Belan.
In addition to the extremely close relationships she had with her daughter and brother, she was madly in love with her Cocker-Spaniel, Charlie, and took him to the beach every single day. She also loved to paint and dance, and taking Zumba classes from her daughter, Caitlin.
Linda also had a profound passion for anything to do with serving the Lord. She was a very devout Catholic, and most recently was a parishioner at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Watsonville. She never missed mass on a Sunday; her faith was her number one priority, in which she was involved with several ministries, churches, charities, etc.
In addition to being an overall beautiful person, she was also the best mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend that anyone could ever ask for.
Linda’s funerals arrangements have been entrusted to Benito and Azzarro Pacific Gardens Chapel. Linda’s wishes were for a very intimate and personal rosary and mass, which will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Capitola, CA, where then she will be buried on top of her husband’s grave at Holy Cross Cemetery. However, she wanted to keep it very private and only with immediate family and friends, so her daughter, Caitlin, will be contacting people individually to give them the details for the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help cover Linda’s funeral costs, as well as her final expenses. Donations can be made either via her GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/linda-belan-towell039s-funeral-expenses, or by writing a check directly to her daughter, Caitlin Towell, at 217 N West St. Vacaville, CA 95688.
