Mr. Dempewolf was my supervising teacher when I was a student teacher in the mid 70s in PE. I learned so much from Don and, I was quite fortunate to have his guidance which really helped when I taught in Brisbane, Australia shortly after. He let me teach his all-boys swimming class at the old pool site. Don was kind, funny and a great role model. Many of the skills he taught me stuck with me all my 44 years of teaching PE, English and Health. As a 1967 graduate of SCHS, and coming from a family of graduates dating back to 1932, I was proud to fulfill the dream my father had to become a female PE teacher and Coach. I thank Don for the great start he gave me. He was a friend and colleague. Rest well, knowing you did a good job with all of your treasured students. Let me know when you have the service.
