Obituary of Phillip Lemkin

March 24, 1943 – January 17, 2021

          Resident of Ben Lomond

Philip Lemkin passed away at his Ben Lomond home with his loving wife at his bedside on Sunday, January 17, following a stroke that he suffered just days before. Born in  Sydney, Australia, where he became a fulfilled Jew,  he was 77 years old.

Phillip was a talented writer and knowledgeable historian.  Trained in the banking industry in Australia, he also worked in the tax preparation business.  He moved to from Australia to Ben Lomond 29 years ago, and leaves many dear friends, and family, who will most certainly miss his charm and quick wit.

Philip was a true conversationalist who enjoyed people.  Never shy to let his opinion be known, he was always interested and poised in hearing the thoughts of others.

Phillip was very active in his church and the 24 hour prayer line.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Lloyd Lemkin, and her 4 children, Steven Syres, Robin Anderson, Michael Syres, Christina Lloyd. Her 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
