Jim Post

Obituary of Jim Post

On February 11, 2021, Jim passed away with his wife of 43 years, Billie, by his side. His passing was the end of a very lengthy battle with prostate cancer.

He was a loving husband to Billie,  a loving dad to James Post, Jr, Erik Wilson, Joel Wilson and a loving grandpa to Erika Wilson and Zachary Wilson. He also leaves behind his sister Kathy Monfort.

Born and raised in San Francisco, he was an avid 49ers fan. He had an extremely broad interest in football and baseball and could answer any sports trivia question you could throw at him. His collection of football and baseball cards is very extensive and includes some from his dad.

Jim started working for Kemper Insurance right out of high school in the mailroom and worked his way up to upper management. After Kemper left the bay area he started working at Santa Cruz Title in 1998. Stewart Title bought Santa Cruz Title and he remained with Stewart Title until his death.  He was well thought of in the industry and was well liked by his many coworkers who are all saddened at his passing.

Besides his card collection and interest in all things sports he also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, mystery novels and 80’s rock and roll music which he loved to rock out to. His top 3 favorites were Santana,  ELO and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
