Alicia was my first clinical supervisor at Salud Para La Gente during my LCSW program at SJSU many years ago. She was a wonderful role model and I have thought of her often over the years. She was a significant influence in my decision to become a clinical supervisor. Having her as my very first mentor set me on a meaningful path as a social worker and clinician. To Russell and Alicia's family, although, we have never met, I feel close to your family and offer the condolences of myself and my spouse, Roland. We both were close friends in college with Alicia. We danced, studied and lived together in Casa Zapata. Her spirit will live in all of us and we will never forget her. She is in heaven with our Lord Jesus and I will continue to pray for her soul.
