Obituary of Rachel Cali Meisenheimer

Private services will be held for Rachel Meisenheimer who died tragically at the hands of another here in Santa Cruz.  She would have celebrated her 34^th birthday this month.

Born in Orange, California, she attended Delta high School, Cabrillo College and Laney College. Rachel was resided in Santa Ana, Irvine, Vista, Nevada City, Grass Valley and Oakland before settling down in Santa Cruz in 2004. Rachel was a familiar face and an amazing tour guide at the Mystery Spot, and then later worked in retail.

She had a passion for photography and was a performing artist dancer at numerous Goth Clubs, and a lover of all things unicorn.

She was loved by her family and dreamed someday of finding a partner and having children of her own. She was a force of nature and champion advocate for everyone.  She was loved by many and her mother was very proud of the progress she was making in her life before it was tragically cut short. Rachel was also proud of her mother for never giving up on her.

Rachel’s mother grieves not only for her daughter, but her heart aches every waking moment now, for all who have lost a loved one way too soon. Comfort can only be felt in knowing that she is with her baby “Mercy Lennen Meisenheimer who was prematurely born on October 4^, 2020.

Rachel is survived by her mother Monica Lennen, her father Tim Meisenheimer, her brother Scott Meisenheimer, and many other extended family that were lovingly discovered through 23 and Me DNA Services.   In keeping Rachel’s memory strong in all that you do, please do something kind by helping someone - anyone.
