Obituary of John Anthony Martinez

John A. Martinez ,56, of Ben Lomond, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2011. He was born June 8, 1954 to Joyce and John Martinez in San Francisco, CA. He was the oldest of 4 children. The family moved to San Jose in 1964 and John graduated from Leland High School in 1972. He married his high school sweetheart that same year and went on to be married for 38 years. John had two children, which brought him great joy. He also had 2 grandsons and 3 step-grandchildren. He loved being a grandpa. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his father John, his children Amy, Zack and his wife Anna, his grandsons Nick and Kole, his step-grandchildren Emily, Jacob and Andrew, his sisters Sue and Nancy, his brother James and lots of nieces and nephews and their families. We, his family are looking forward to sharing memories with friends and family , of our time with him. Please join us to celebrate his life on January 29, 2011 at 1pm at the Pacific Garden Chapel at 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA. There will be a reception following at Brunos Barbecue , Mt. Herman RD. at King's Village shopping center, Scotts Valley, CA at 2:30 pm.
