Obituary of Lois Jean Teutschel

LOIS JEAN TEUTSCHEL A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday in Capitola, for Lois Teutschel who passed away on November 8, 2010 in Santa Cruz. She was born August 15, 1925 in San Francisco, and was the only child of Frank P. and Blanche (Furey) Lallement. At sixteen she met the love of her life, Albert V. Teutschel, Jr. They were married in 1945 and raised four children Michael (Rebecca),of Redwood City, Patrick (Dolores), of Aptos, Timothy, of Aptos and Colleen Seward (Daniel) of Sagle, Idaho. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren, Laura, Anne, Nicole, Olivia, and Jon-Paul. Family and friends in the Bay Area, Arizona, and Santa Cruz will miss her warm and loving nature. She often remarked how lucky she was to have a loving family and friends. No Mom, we were the lucky ones. Lois grew up in Sacramento and raised her family in San Francisco. She enjoyed her senior years living in Capitola's Jewel Box area- where she vacationed as a child. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert in 2001. Friends may pay their respects at a viewing to he held this evening (November 9th) at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. The mass will he held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (435 Monterey Ave., Capitola) beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park in Santa Cruz. In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Lung Association (lungusa.org) would be appreciated.
