Obituary of Rose Edith Davighi

Rose E. Davighi Rose E. Davighi, passed away peacefully at her Santa Cruz home on January 7, 2011 at the age of 92. A lifetime resident of Santa Cruz, she was born on November 3, 1918 to Battista Passerino and Florinda (DiDominici) Passerino longtime residents of Santa Cruz who immigrated to the United States from Asti, Italy in the 1800's. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luigi and her loving son, Michael, three sisters; Gina Avidano, Velia Giraudo and Nora Stefani. She is survived by her nephew; Al Giraudo and his wife, Marion of Los Gatos and her niece, Ann-Marie Sreckovic of France and many loving family members and dear friends. Rose was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, generosity and sweet smile. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 126 High St., Santa Cruz, CA on Wednesday January 12, 2011 beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA.
