Obituary of Georgia Ann Negrete

Georgia Ann Negrete Georgia Ann Negrete passed away March 8, 2011 at Pacific Coast Manor in Capitola. She was 76. She was born April 2, 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Frank and Louise (Bocchini) Bellisomi. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Albert, Jim and Bob Bellisomi. She is survived by her nine children; Gerard Negrete of Sacramento, Joseph Negrete of San Jose, Robin Negrete of Phoenix, Ana Soto of Santa Cruz, Angelo Negrete of Fair Oaks, Dolora Hiura of Hollister, Timothy Negrete of Brentwood, Stephen Negrete of San Jose, and Rheta Negrete-Karwin of Watsonville, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Georgia grew up in Memphis, moved to Fresno in 1950 and later to Santa Cruz in 1974. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, mother, nona and great-nona. She was a devout member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. In 1979 she proudly earned her high school diploma through Santa Cruz County Adult Education. Georgia was a talented musician, playing the accordion and was very artistic. She was an excellent cook and baker. A Rosary will be recited at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to call at the chapel Friday from 4:00 pm until service time. The funeral procession will leave Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 10:30 am for Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 515 Frederick St, Santa Cruz, CA where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 2271 7th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Georgia Ann Negrete to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
