Obituary of Alice Rae Grant

Alice Rae Grant Alice Rae Grant, lovingly known by her family and friends as, Sue Casey, passed away on August 13, 2010 in Santa Cruz. Alice was born in Fresno, Ca on January 26, 1951 to Ray and Alice Casey. She was raised in Morgan Hill and graduated from Live Oak High School. She spent time living in Fresno, San Francisco, Morgan Hill and England before settling in Santa Cruz in 1983. Alice was a legal secretary for 15 years. She loved nature and traveling, and she was a marathon runner. She was a member of the Santa Cruz Track Club, and the Running Community at Nisene Marks Park. Alice was also a member of the Hash House Harriers, and a collector of rare books, fine wines, and antiques. Alice is survived by her daughter Karen Grant, of Los Angeles, and her son, Gareth Grant, of Las Vegas. She is also survived by three nieces, and one nephew. A service will be held for Alice on Thursday, August 19th at Buddha Bridge Nisene Marks Park beginning at 6 o'clock pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice's memory to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, Ca 95066.
