She was well known for her homemade cookies. She taught bridge to the senior high school students and donated money to the class. Her home was always open. She was considered a second mom to many people and some were able to attend her service Holly, Phil, Janny, Susie, Nancy and Sharon. Tommy was a special person to Midge and spent time weekly styling her hair for over 41 years. She considered him a son and cherished their relationship. Adrian, Fran and their son Ross met mom 35 years ago and became long time friends and played bridge. Adrian and Midge spent time talking about life, playing dominoes and having cocktails. The family thanks Tommy and Adrian for all their love and support. She had a wealth of longtime friends, Minnie, Mary Alice, Liz and Mare all of whom knew her longer than most people and are still living. She felt these women were sisters and had many wonderful memories together. Midge will miss her bridge partners Shirley, Mary and Ginny and we thank them for their friendship and support. She was a spunky 87 year old lady who had more energy than most. She played bridge several times a week, was an avid reader, watched all tennis matches, football, jeopardy and always had a game of solitaire going. She taught her children and grandchildren games, especially canasta. She cooked homemade meals as if she was still cooking for a family. She always called it like it was and her opinion was most of the time correct! Midge lived life to the fullest and lived in the moment. She was very generous and her enthusiasm was contagious. Her family and friends loved her very much and will miss her. A private celebration was held at her home March 19, 2011.
