Obituary of Ernest J. Jones

Ernest J. Jones a longtime resident of Watsonville, Ca. passed away peacefully May 21, 2010 at the age of 81. Ernest was born on March 19, 1929 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to Robert and Bertha Jones. When he was 14 years old, the Jones family moved to San Jose where Ernest eventually graduated from San Jose High School. Ernest proudly served in the California National Guard for 18 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was also an avid listener of country music. Ernest is survived by two daughters; Cheryl Herron of Bakersfield and Debra Larson of Watsonville, two sisters; Joyce Macedo of Hollister and Donna Bonnigen of San Leandro and his brother John Conrad Jones of Sparks, Nevada; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Theresa Jones and his daughter Deana Herron. Services will be private.
