Gosh, it is hard to believe that we are approaching Mom's 80th birthday.
As I reflect back this time last year, we had such a sweet day, her favorite dinner or supper as we call it, chicken, mashed potatoes & corn, cake & vanilla ice cream with our family and a few friends... She embraced each one of us with Great peace, hugs, kisses and her beautiful smile.
I'm sure that she is having the ultimate birthday celebration with our Lord and loved ones that know Him....

It was such a honor and privlege to love,know,laugh, and spend time with your momma. She was a special woman and thanks for sharing her with me. I never had the opportunity to meet Ms. Mildred, but I do know her daugther Glendy. I never got the chance to meet Mildred, but I am friends with Glendy and Pam who both took such good care of her. I also got the pleasure of meeting her sister, Wilma, who is a gem. From all the stories I've heard and my wonderful experiences with her family I would have to say that Mildred was one in a million. She seemed to be such a sweet woman, devoting her life to taking care of everyone around her. I see where Glendy gets her kind heart.
Glendy, I am so sorry that we have to meet like this again. You truly are an inspiration to me by the way that you stay strong through what would surely bring others down, and you still have a smile and concern for others when you have had such a loss. You are a great person, and I'll always be here for you.

Mildred, and our brother, Kenneth, helped my mother to raise my younger sister and I. She gave us, and so many others, much joy in this life. Our hearts are sad; but, we rejoice in the knowledge of God's Word and His promises. We are assured that one day we will meet her again.
