Obituary of Marjorie L. Zieber

A committal ceremony will take place on October 1, 2021 in Santa Cruz for Marjorie Zieber who passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Marjorie was born in Hanford, California and was a much loved elementary school teacher in Aptos for 30 years.
After graduating High School in Albuquerque, Marjorie went on to graduate from Hartnell College, and San Jose State, receiving her Master’s in education. Marjorie was a loving and devoted teacher who spent over 30 years teaching kindergarten and first graders at Valencia Elementary School in Aptos.  She was a long time member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, and also the Santa Cruz chapter of Young Ladies Institute.  Marjorie loved to travel the world via car, plane or ship.  
After retiring from teaching, she did volunteer work at Dominican Hospital, and London Nelson Center.  She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Zieber, and son Gregory Zieber.  
She is survived by her son David Zieber and wife Carolyne,  son Jonathan Zieber and girlfriend Karen,  son Vincent Zieber and wife Sue, daughter Cynthia Yeager (Zieber) and husband Richard, daughter in law Lorene Zieber, and five grandchildren, Aaron Zieber, Savannah Vershay, Leesha Zieber,  Nicole Yeager, and Samantha Yeager. 
She will be laid to rest, beside her loving husband, Gerald, on Friday October 1, at Holy Cross Cemetery (2271 7th Ave.) in Santa Cruz beginning at 1 p.m.
