Obituary of Linda Joanne Stenberg

Linda Joanne Stenberg June 16, 1954 - November 27, 2010 Linda Stenberg passed away on November 27, 2010 at home in Santa Cruz with her loving family by her side. Linda was born on June 16, 1954 to Paul and Joanne Wittwer in Santa Cruz where she lived her entire life. She graduated from Soquel High School in 1972. Linda was a loving daughter, wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother, and together with her husband, Craig, operated numerous auto-related businesses in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and Monterey Counties for over 34 years; presently operating Anthony's Auto Wrecking in Santa Cruz and A-1 Auto and Truck Wrecking in Salinas. Linda was also the friendly voice of Auto Sport Towing from 1976 until the business was sold in 1992. Recently daughters Amy & Allison also began helping in the family business. In 2005 Linda became one of the world-famous "Crow's Nest's Office Babes" as a bookkeeper-a job and group of co-workers she loved. Linda was an avid runner who loved spending her time outdoors at the beach, in the redwoods, and at her family's favorite vacation spot, South Lake Tahoe. Through her battle with cancer, Linda began painting and left many loving treasures for family and friends. "Linny" is survived by her loving husband, Craig; children, Angela (Aaron) Burk, Anthony Stenberg, Amy (Eric) Hotaling, and Allison Stenberg; grandchildren, Jackson, Jameson, Lyla Linny and a grandson born on December 1st; parents, Paul and Joanne; brothers, David (Linda) and Michael (Darla); several nieces and a nephew, as well as, many extended family members. With a strong faith in the Lord, Linny left a loving impression on everyone she knew. The family would like to thank Doctors William and Susan Buchholz, of Mountain View, and their compassionate staff. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 beginning at 11 o'clock a.m. at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Dr. in Aptos, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda's name to The American Cancer Society P.O.
