Trips to Grandpa's house on Sunday afternoons are such an integral part of my childhood memories that I have now that I cannot look back on my childhood without thinking of them. I remember sitting in his living room sunday afternoons with him and watching the LA rams play. When they would lose he would call them the Bums instead of Rams. Only as an adult now do I appreciate his sense of humor and kind words of advice that were given to me during those visits in the late 70s at a time when he must have had a lot of pain at my grandmother's recent death. He was a very strong man who I respect greatly.

I'll always remember his voice. It was so unique. I'll also remember him for his funny comments. He made people laugh. Maybe that's where I got my sense of humor! God bless you, Grandpa.

I only got to meet great-grandpa Roberts once. He seemed so excited to see one of his great-grandchildren. Great-grandpa Roberts, Mama Cindy, my dad, and myself took a photo called "The Four Generations". What amazed me was that he was still so smart for his age, I believe 91 at the time. I'll really miss him. I wish I'd have gotten more opportunties to hang out with him and get to know him better. I'll REALLY miss him. I love you, great-grandpa!

There are so many memories! One that was so special for me was when he would take just me to the Museum of Natural History when I was a little girl. I loved those times--I learned so much about animals and biology. We would go to the plant nurseries, too, and I learned how to grow flowers and vegetables. I have so many good memories--and hard ones, too, but then don't we all! Parenting is a hard job. He taught me responsibility by going to work everyday and providing for his family without complaint. I remember him paying his bills on time every month. Good life lessons. I already miss the fact that I could always call him and talk. "Well, Cin, you're doing a good job." I love you, too, Cindy." I miss you, Daddy...
