Obituary of John Edwin Rynn

John "Jack" Rynn Passed away in his Santa Cruz home on November 11, 2010. Born in Akron, OH, he was 69 years old. Jack graduated from Central Michigan University and earned his MBA from San Jose State University. He served his country in the US Navy during the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a real estate broker in the San Jose areas for over 40 years. Jack was a life-long sports enthusiast. He was an all state basketball player in high school and enjoyed playing basketball in numerous adult leagues. His favorite time of the year was March Madness. He was a proud docent to Ano Nuevo State Park, providing guided tours to view the elephant seals. One of Jack's most loved pastimes was reading and history was his favorite topic. He was an active member of Twin Lakes Church and participated weekly in small study groups. Some of the family's happiest memories include walking on the beach, hiking in Lake Tahoe and white water rafting down the Truckee River with Jack. Jack is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ellen Rynn, and their three daughters Natalie Rynn, Annette Rynn and Tiffany Hoyt all of California. Additionally, he is survived by his two sisters Carol Kinney and Madelaine Endsley both residing in Michigan. A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at 11AM on Thursday November 18, at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel at 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz, CA. Donations in his memory may be made to Twin Lakes Church Memorial Fund for Jack Rynn, 2701 Cabrillo College Dr., Aptos, CA 95003.
