Obituary of Guadalupe Avila

Guadalupe “Lupe” Avila passed away at the age of 65 on January 4th, 2022. Guadalupe
was born in Sonora, Texas and raised in Santa Cruz, California. He was a student in the
Soquel school district area. Things he enjoyed doing during his lifetime were fishing,
camping, going to powwows, playing the lottery, and going to the casinos and a lover of
all animals. Throughout his adult life he was a contractor in the landscaping business. In
his spare time he enjoyed making bonsai trees, cooking, and handyman jobs. Lupe was
a family man, he loved spending quality time with his siblings, daughters,
grandchildren/great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lupe is survived by
Stella Avila (Moises Delgado-son in law), Gloria Avila, Sabina Avila, Belinda Avila (Mario
Mendez-son in law), 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and
several nieces and nephews. Lupe is preceded in death by his parents Patricia Avila,
Luis Avila, his brothers Albert Avila and Jose Luis (Joe) Avila. Lupe will be greatly
missed and forever in all of our hearts, until we meet again.
