Obituary of Marcella Esparza Bautista

Marcella E. Bautista January 16, 1936 Thru November 6, 2010 Born in Monterrey, Mexico to Aurelio and Josefa Esparza. Her Survivors: Bernardo Bautista (Linda Wilkerson), Angelina Mendez (Gabino), Tony Bautista (Luann Watke), Flora Lopez (Richard), Marselina Bautista-Schmidt, Hovita Johnson (Paige). She also had 3 sisters and a brother in Mexico. Grandkids: Bernardo Jr., Gabino Jr., Stephanie, Elana, Nicholas, Ramon, Sam, Marci, Nicole, Konrad, Robert, Carlo, Ryan, Lori, Katie, and Mackenzie. Great Grandkids: Danielle, Desi, Gabriel, Leicia, Alina, Antonio, Savanna and Gianna. Marcella was very proud of her family and passionate about having her family together. She was also loved by the Lopez family who looked to her as a Mom and grandmother and anyone she met she adopted. Her home was always open and she made many cherished friendships with her neighbors and close friends. Marcella's life was full and filled with love. She will be missed but never forgotten. She will remain forever in our hearts... Her life can be summarized in a quote from Mother Teresa "God doesn't ask us to do great things. He asks us to do small things with great love." The Funeral Service will be held for Marcella on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz at 9:30 am. A viewing will be held at the chapel on Friday, November 12th from 2-8 pm. The burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2271 7th Ave. in Santa Cruz will follow the service on Saturday.
