Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Fuhr

Ruth Paterson Fuhr It was with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth. However we also celebrate that at age 92, without any suffering on February 24th she started her journey to be with loved ones in Heaven. With family as Bible verse.was being read aloud, she closed her eyes and peacefully left. With this blessing, family wishes to acknowledge their love for her and the love of life she so enjoyed with them. In the truest sense, she was a Christian and her faith in family and God saw her through some very challenging times throughout her lifetime. Ruth is a native of Buffalo, NY and moved to Santa Cruz in 1986 to be with her daughter Bonnie and son Richard. In addition to them, she is also survived by her youngest daughter Carolyn who resides in Buffalo but was a regular visitor to Santa Cruz. Ruth also takes with her the love of her 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren all of who will miss her. Family was most important to Ruth. She enjoyed being involved in all aspects of everyday life and her humor was very infectious to those in her presence. Ruth was an accomplished ball room dancer and was awarded numerous trophies for her skills. She also loved to bowl and was recognized in this very publication for her score of 200 as a senior citizen at the Surf Bowl. She loved going to Reno, San Francisco and Monterey to take in all the beautiful sites. Ruth decided she did not want a memorial service. Her ashes will be flown to Buffalo where she will eventually be laid to rest at her husband, Robert's side.
