Family and friends will gather this summer to say farewell to a loving wife, mother, devoted friend and daughter, Carrie Cooper who passed away at her home with her loved ones at her bedside.  Born in Long Beach, California, she was 51 years old.

Carrie was raised in Orange County where she attended Orange Coast Community College. Moving to Santa Cruz in 1995, she married the love of her life, Mark Cooper and lived and loved life being a mom, and raising her children.  She was an active volunteer and assistant at her children’s schools immersing herself in all of their athletic and scholastic and endeavors.  Her spirit and firm resolve to fight the good fight, even when the odds were not in her favor due to worsening health conditions, are a testament of her love and dedication she had for her family.  Fond memories will always be cherished of her love for travel and the time spent on family vacations and adventures.

Carrie leaves her husband Mark Cooper, her two daughters; Casey and Catie Cooper and her son Jack Cooper. She also leaves her mother, Nancy Rutherford and her sister, Sherry Nemarik.

Her father John Alfred Christensen, her sister, Lori Blackwell, and her brother John Christensen preceded Carrie in death.
