Obituary of Kelly Michelle Dunaway

Kelly Michelle Dunaway passed away in the city of Watsonville on July 11, 2022. Kelly was born to Mikal and Roberta Dunaway on April 10, 1969.  

Kelly attended the following schools, Mar Vista Elementary, San Lorenzo Valley Middle School, San Lorenzo Valley High School and Cabrillo College. She continued her education in Paralegal studies and received her G.E.D. During the course of her life, Kelly lived within Santa Cruz County for 53 years, whether it was the city of Santa Cruz, Ben Lomond, or Scotts Valley; as well as San Diego. One of the jobs Kelly attained was as a teacher assistant at an elementary school, in which she held for nearly a decade.  

Kelly loved frogs, hummingbirds, dragonflies, bees and fairies. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, and was an avid gamer. Her favorite of all holidays would have been Easter, and springtime was the time she loved the most.  

Kelly is survived by her mother and father Roberta and Mikal Dunaway, brother Sean Dunaway, children Michael Hoon, Maeve Maverick and Michaela Dunaway. She is also a grandmother to Farore Dunaway-Cates, Perrin Dunaway-Cates, and Aurelio Conniff who will all miss her dearly. 

A gathering is scheduled for Sunday July 31st, 2022 at the Cabrillo Mobilehome Estate Rec Hall, 930 Rosedale Avenue, Capitola, CA, 95010. Please join us for snacks and drinks as we remember and honor the life of Kelly.
