From 1976 to 1982 I had the privilege of working with Charlie as part of the practice of Neurology with Alan Dorosin in Santa Cruz. I knew Charlie as not only an excellent Neurosurgeon but a very kind, caring and humble person.. Dani and I want to express our sincere condolences to Joan and family..

Dr Scibetta did my back surgeries and I always remember his caring and kindness towards me. Years later I met him again and his wife, Joan, at St Joseph's Catholic Church and he said if I needed a ride to church to call him. A very wonderful doctor. May he rest in peace a beautiful face for God.
I'm so sorry to hear that Dr. Scibetta has passed away. We were colleagues at Dominican Hospital "back in the day," and I always found him to be gentle, kind, and pleasant. A real gentleman! It was a surprise to learn that he studied and practiced at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY. That's where I grew up, so we were living in Syracuse at the same time!
And I wish I'd have known about his interest in travel. We could have traded many great stories and recommendations. And I didn't know that he was a member of my Resurrection parish. It's funny that you can be someone's colleague and yet not know the fun and interesting details of their life.
My condolences to his family. He surely leaves a large void on this Earth.

I will never forget when he took time out to consult with me about the status of my own fathers brain injury. He wasn’t out attending physician, but still reached out to me. He made me feel more at peace with the tough decision I had to make about my Dad. I will always remember this act of kindness.
