Obituary of Anna M. Schaefer

      

March 30, 1928 – January 27, 2023

Lifelong Resident of Santa Cruz

 

A private committal has been held for Anna Schaefer who passed away at the age of 94.

A native of Santa Cruz, she was born to John G. Frykland and Annie Bowman Frykland, attended local schools and graduated from Santa Cruz High School.

For more than 60 years, Mrs. Schaefer worked as a legal secretary. She was a member of the California Certified Legal Secretary Association, was very proud of her career, and felt very blessed to have worked with local dedicated professionals who were the benefactors of her knowledge and expertise.

 

Anna was an accomplished traveler and enjoyed folk dancing. She leaves her son and daughter-in-law Joel D. Schaefer and Suzanne Schaefer of Santa Cruz and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.   She preceded in death by her husband Joel E. Schaefer in 1976 and her daughter Elizabeth Schaefer in 2018.
