Obituary of Diana Jo Peters

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our family's matriarch Diana Jo Peters, God has gained an angel as we believe this beautiful and loving person was presented with wings, she was a devoted Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Grandma, Great Grandma and friend to so many, she was truly someone special who touched the lives of so many around her and she will be missed dearly by all those she left behind. She had a contagious presence about her and was a blessing to have around. Sunday, February 12, 2023, was when we lost a shining light and beloved member of our Family. Diana was bornin Oakland, California, but had lived in Santa Cruz County since the age of 3 and devoted herself to her Family, friends, and Community, in fact, 64 years of her life was dedicated to her work and countless achievements to many to name, some she was most proud of working were Watkins Johnson, TKO Software and Toyota, she was also a Business owner of a Beauty School and The Cheese Connection, she was also proud to have served on the Grand Jury, when she was not working to support her family as a single Mother she volunteered her time and love to the Salvation Army, Multiple fundraisers for local school districts, She was also a part of the Santa Cruz High School Alumni {classof'60) awarding scholarships for future generations of students, and countless other projects. The loss of Diana Jo Peters has left her family and friends heartbroken and devastated, our only comfort is knowing we will see her again, thank you Mom for instilling in us right from wrong, for always being there for us, we are forever grateful and honored to be a part of your family. She is Survived by her family Dianese Shay McLaughlin, Tamara Shay Lopez, Bo Michael Lopez, Mandi Lopez, Gabriella Lopez, Penellope Lopez, and Alicia Lopez.
