Obituary of Millie Cunningham

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Capitola on May 6, for Millie Cunningham who passed away at her home with her loving husband at her bedside. Millie will forever be remembered for her devotion to her church and love for her family. Her Catholic Faith was exhibited in her selfless acts of charity to others. Working as parish office administrator at St. Joseph’s Church in Capitola for many years, she made countless friends with both the young and elderly parishioners. Her love for her family was of paramount importance in her life. Her dedication to her husband of 62 years, her children and her grandchildren brought her great joy.
Millie leaves her loving husband Tom Cunningham, her daughters Susan Paradiso, and Kathie James; her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Dena Cunningham, her beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Conner, Elliot and Jack, and her sister Sandra Serris.
The mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (435 Monterey Ave.) in Capitola, beginning at 11 a.m. A private burial will take place at the California Central Coast Veteran’s Cemetery, Seaside, CA. An act of charity may be made in her memory to the Jesus, Mary and Joseph House.
