Jackson Laudenback

Obituary of Jackson Fineman Laudenback

February 15, 1994 – June 18, 2018

Jackson Laudenback, age 24, loved cruising through this world among friends when his life came to an abrupt and tragic end as a passenger in a car accident near Winters, California the night of June 18, 2018. Jackson lived his life without limits, he now gets to ride without limits or rules.

He has been set free to drive as fast as he wants while listening to loud music with a smile and laugh for everyone. Jackson was born in Santa Cruz the day after Valentine’s day at 4:20 am to Victoria (Vickie Wick) and Gary Laudenback. Jackson was a Santa Cruz native, he attended Soquel Elementary, New Brighton MS, Soquel High School and graduated from Cypress Charter High School.

Jackson loved music, nature, hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, animals, people and fun times with family and friends. He was an amazing bass player and had an incredibly diverse musical taste. He loved being out in the woods, at the beach, traveling to exotic scuba diving places with his mom, or camping at Refugio or Mono Hot Springs.

He absolutely loved his Crown Victoria car that everyone knew as “Eleanor” and went out of his way to help his friends at every opportunity. Eleanor was car-napped but one of his friends spotted it so she was safely returned without incident.

Jackson is survived by his parents Vickie Wick and Gary Laudenback, Bob and Lori Wick (Aunt and Uncle) and their sons Alex and Kevin Wick (cousins), Kathy and Doug Laidlaw (Aunt and Uncle) and their son Trace (cousin), Aunt Debbie and her son Cameron (cousin),

His grandparents are all waiting for him to update them in heaven and to add to the party with music and storytelling.

Jackson was beloved by many and will be missed until we meet again. Just listen for the loud bass guitar when you’re on the other side someday and you will see that familiar smile and laugh.
