Obituary of Wesley Gerard Mijares

Wesley Gerard Mijares passed away unexpectedly April 28th. Wesley was a fifth generation Santa Cruz Native and a graduate of Harbor High. He was an accomplished cook, an expert on Rock-N-Roll, and a help-mate to his mom for many years. Wes was a kind, generous and loving soul to all. He had a hearty laugh and a big heart that he shared with his family, many cousins in San Jose, friends & neighbors in Santa Cruz, and some special friends at the Roxas group. Preceded in death by his dad, Paul Mijares Sr, and his mother Liz Zieber, Wesley is survived by his eldest brother and wife, Paul and Zasu Mijares of Galveston, TX; his older brother Mark Mijares of Cambria; and many cousins, aunts & uncles, scattered in California & Hawaii. Friends and family will gather for a committal ceremony on Thursday, May 9, 2013, 11 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery (2271 7th Ave.) in Santa Cruz. Wesley will be laid to rest beside his mother, Liz Zieber who passed away July 23, 2012.
