Dear Joyce,
We were so sorry to read Ken's obituary in Sunday's Sentinel. He was certainly a unique person.
I always liked talking to him about apples and other fruit trees and especially enjoyed working with him in surgery.
He had a great sense of humor. In the OR, I liked to use an Apfelbaum forceps, and I would call for it by name.
In one operation, where he was the anesthesiologist,, I asked for an "Apfelbaum". He reached over the screen and offered me an apple, with a fuse stuck in the top- an "Apple Bomb".
We will miss him but not as much as you will. We are keeping him in our prayers.

Joyce, Scott, Dale,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Kenny. He was a wonderful person and our loss is heaven's gain. We wish we could be at the memorial service but we will be out of the country. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
