Obituary of Eleanor Barbara Paradise

Eleanor Barbara Paradise Eleanor Paradise passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on October 17, 2013, in Santa Cruz. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a long time resident of Plymouth Massachusetts and worked as a bookkeeper for many types of businesses with a career spanning over 30 years. She retired to the Santa Cruz area in 1985. Eleanor leaves many dear friends at the La Posada Retirement Community in Santa Cruz. She was preceded in death by husband George Thomas Paradise in Santa Cruz on January 12, 2011. Eleanor and her husband were talented in ceramics and met many friends and colleagues who shared their interest in the art. The couple operated their own kiln, and sold very popular Christmas figurines on the Capitola Mall and downtown Santa Cruz on Pacific Avenue. Eleanor was accomplished at knitting and made beautiful gifts for her family and friends. There will also be many fond memories cherished of the European vacation taken with her son Warren and his family, as well as their cruise to Alaska. She is survived by her son Warren Paradise and his family, all of Santa Cruz.
