We will miss Aunt Carmen soo much.I have so many fond memories of our visits in the San Jose home and the Capitola homes. Carm always brought a smile to my face. I couldn't wait to hear another story she had to share. I will miss the conversations and the laughter. RIP now with Uncle Louie. My thoughts and prayers are with her Children and Grandchildren at this time.

To the family of Carmen. I, Lana, worked with Carmen for many years at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School. She was a wonderful secretary and an increbible mentor. I would sub for her when she was absent and we became friends. I remember many wonderful luncheons at her Warner Heights home and have fond memories of her many stories about her beloved family. Carmen was so very generous in spirit. My family would rent her "ladybug" home in Capitola every summer for a week. She treated us so special and we came to love her. Even though I have not seen Carmen for some years we wanted to let you know how much we loved your mom. She was a very special lady.

I first met Carmen when Fr Patrick Dooling was pastor at St Joseph's. She learned I was a caregiver for my parents and asked if I was going to the caregiver's retreat? At that time the cost was $100 and I could not afford it. When Mass ended and I turned to hug her and wish her a good week, she handed me a check and told me to go on the retreat! I protested, saying I couldn't, how can I pay you back? Carmen told me to pray for a young man in need of prayers...that was all the repayment she wanted. Over the years we usually met at the 11 am Mass and it was wonderful to see her surprised happy expression when she spotted me. After Dad died, she always asked about Mom & sometimes gave me little boxes of cookies for her. One gift she gave me was a book by M. Scott Peck, a book of quotations. I am going to miss this sweet lady; I feel so blessed for having known her.
I spoke with her daughter a few weeks back and I just want to say to her that 'there is no death when you live on in the hearts of those you leave behind.'
God bless. . .
