Obituary of Helen Reyes

Helen passed away peacefully in Santa Cruz on April 28, 2011. Born on Catalina Island, California, she was 85 years old. Helen has been a resident of Santa Cruz County for the past 40 years. For 30/40 of those years, she was employed as supervisor of Charmwick Candle Company and later at Pinnacle Manufacturing Company in Santa Cruz. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening, and hand held electronic casino games, when not actually visiting a casino. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love for her family was paramount in her life. Her devotion to loved ones always came first, and fond memories of Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and individual birthday celebrations will forever be cherished by all whom she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Camarlinghi of Corralitos. One of 9 children, Helen is survived by her 6 siblings: Peter Perez, Josie Galvez, Delores Reyes, Mary Perez, Agnes Perez and Max Perez and proceeded by her 2 siblings: Charlotte Sanguino, Tom Perez. She also leaves her grandchildren; Jessica and Richard Dixon, Joshua and Joana Valdes, and Amber and Manual Zamora; and her great grandchildren, Daniel, Mark, Manual, Alex, Gabriel, Matthew, Sherra and Zoe. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life to be held at 25 Orchard Heights Lane, Corralitos, CA on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 1:00pm. Please bring pictures and stories to share.
