Obituary of Milton E. Gold

Milton E. Gold passed away on March 6, 2012 in Santa Cruz, he was 69 years old. Milt was a native of Van Nuys, CA. After graduating high school, Milt served in the United States Army. Later, Milt attended San Jose State, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree. Milt has resided in Santa Cruz for the past 40 years. Milt's livelihood over the past 25 years was in career consultation. He was the executive director of Profile, a volunteer organization that helps people get back to work. Milt mentored numerous people over the years in both his personal and professional life. Milt's hobbies that he loved were sailing and photography. Over the last 40 years, Milt was a fixture at the Santa Cruz Harbor and the Crow's Nest where he met all his sailing friends. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Milt is survived by his brother, Shelley Gold, his niece, Suzanne Detwiler and his nephew, Jeff Gold all of Colorado. A private burial at sea will be held by Milt's family at a later date.
