Obituary of Katherine Marie Znamirowski

Katherine Marie "Kat" Znamirowski passed on December 1st, 2012, in a motor vehicle accident at the age of 29 with her dog, Diablo. She was born in England on February 17th, 1983 to Timothy Znamirowski and Patricia Bertha-Mattingly. Katherine is survived by her parents and her loving sister Lucia Znamirowski. She graduated from Shorewood High School and earned her A.A. and A.S. in Zoo Animal Technology at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo in Florida. She has lived in England, California, Wisconsin, Panama, Oregon, and Florida. She currently lived in Walnut Grove, CA with her beloved partner, best friend and fellow dog trainer, Adrian Mendez. Together they trained dogs, competed in French ring trials, and loved discovering new and old places on their adventures. Dog training was her passion and talent. She also enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, cooking, traveling, candy, dancing and animal rescue of any and all species. All who knew her, countless friends and numerous family members mourn her. A private service was held December 5, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kat's memory, to a scholarship fund dedicated to helping young and upcoming French Ringers who show the same passion and determination that Kat embraced.
