Obituary of Juanita Louise Franich

Juanita (Jimmie) Louise Franich Beloved mom, grandmother and great grandmother Jimmie Franich, 93 years young died peacefully on February 28, 2013 in Santa Cruz, Ca. She is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, John Franich in 2010 and daughter Beverly in 1987. Jimmie and John moved to Rio Del Mar in 1948. They owned Ceramic Tile Sales and Service in Soquel for 30 years until their retirement in 1983. Jimmie was an avid San Francisco Giants fan. She along with her husband John enjoyed touring with the Santa Cruz Antique Auto Club. Jimmie especially enjoyed being asked by her son-in-law Jack to join with her daughter Debra on many wonderful vacations. She loved to go clothes shopping with her son Larry and his wife Judi. Jimmie loved living life and was a role model looking fabulous well into her nineties. She will be fondly remembered for keeping strong relationships with her extended family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Jimmie is survived by her son Larry (wife Judi Wyant/Franich), grandson Paul (wife Susy), great grandchildren Kelsey and Tyler of Beaverton, Or., granddaughter Rachele (husband Tom Bryan), great grandchildren Gavin, Gabriela, and Serena of Kauai, Hi., step granddaughter Laurie (Alan Okamura), great grandchildren Katie and Ethan of Scotts Valley, Ca., David (Kat Carberry) of Pasadena, Ca., daughter Debra (Jack Hartnett) of Santa Rosa, Ca., granddaughter Mary Taylor (fianc Chris Romero) his children Linsi and Marisa of Denver, Co., grandson Jonathan (Sonia Hartnett), great granddaughter Aaradhya of Sacramento, Ca and nieces and nephews. No services are to be held at Jimmie's request. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jimmie's life on April 6, 2013 at Bittersweet Bistro, 787 Rio Del Mar Blvd, Aptos, Ca. (1 - 4).
