Obituary of Palmer R. Smith

Services will be held on July 7, 2012, in Scotts Valley for Palmer Smith who passed quietly to eternal rest in his Scotts Valley home on Flag Day, June 14, 2012. Born in Washington D.C., he was 86 years old. Affectionately known to his friends and colleagues as "P.R.", he was preceded in death by his wife Mary C. Smith. They had no children. P.R. leaves numerous loving cousins and extended family. P.R.attended College in Virginia, served our armed forces in WW II, and moved to Santa Cruz County in 1954 where he established real estate and tax offices. He acquired some property in Scotts Valley, and thus became a landlord. His career as an enrolled agent in tax preparation service spanned over 40 years. P.R. and his late wife Mary attended San Agustin Catholic Church. He was a long time member of Santa Cruz Elks Lodge # 824. A memorial mass will be on Saturday July 7, at San Agustin Catholic Church (257 Glenwood Drive, Scotts Valley, CA. 95066) beginning at 10 a.m. The committal ceremony will be private. Any kind acts of charity may be made in his memory to Hospice of Santa Cruz County (940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA. 95066)
