A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Aptos for Rosemarie Peoples who passed away peacefully at her Santa Cruz home with her loving family at her bedside.

Rosemarie was born in Englewood, New Jersey, along with her older sister Mary Ann and brothers Joseph and Vinnie, raised by their single mother Anna Rose Marvin.   Rosemarie earned a Master of Art in Religious Education from University of San Francisco, a Certificate in Christian Spirituality from Loyola Institute of Ministry, and a Master Catechist in the Diocese of San Jose.  Rosemarie was pastoral associate for St. Catherine’s Parish in Morgan Hill from 1980 to 2005, and was a much loved and respected member of her community, with a career in religious education that spanned over 50 years. She leaves many colleagues, students, and members of religious communities who were the benefactors of her love, dedication and knowledge.

Rosemarie was very involved with making peoples’ lives better.    She provided guidance to many young adults who were struggling through life – many coming back years later and thanking her for the support that she provided.    “She was always so kind, never judged, and she impacted my life more then she knows – she was my angel” was a quote from one person she helped during their life struggles.  Rosemarie Peoples made an impact on peoples’ lives and the community.

Rosemarie and her husband of 61 years Charles retired to Santa Cruz 5 years ago and were parishioners of Resurrection Catholic Church in Aptos.  She is survived by her husband Charles Peoples, her two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Carrie Peoples; Brian and Susan Peoples; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Tim Cundari; and Erin and Scott Simonich.
