Obituary of Donald George Sather

Don Sather, loving husband and father fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 90. Don was born in Ottowa, Ontario, Canada to parents George and Helen Sather. They had two children. Don worked selling Christian books one summer and met his wife, Lois on a double date. But at the time, Lois was the other fellow's date! They married in 1945 and were together 49 ½ years, and had two children. Lois died in 1994. Don married again in 1996 to Anne and they enjoyed traveling and life together for a number of years. Don worked as a minister of the gospel for 44 years in California including Soquel and Santa Cruz Seventh Day Adventist Churches. Don loved to read especially about history and loved to walk the promenade from Rio Del Mar to Seacliff beach. He loved his family, his home, his Church community, and he loved his Lord Jesus. A Memorial Service will be held for Don on Saturday September 28th beginning at 3:00pm at The 7th Day Adventist Church, 1024 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz. The Graveside service will be private.
