Obituary of Ana Luz Barajas

Ana Barajas- Ana Barajas passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2011 in Santa Cruz. She was only 48 years old. Ana was born on July 23, 1962, in San Bernardo, Purisima del Rincon, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Librado and Juana Barajas. Ana came to Santa Cruz in 1982, and has been a resident ever since. Ana was a special person to many people. She was loved and admired by all who met her, because of her positive outlook, and permanent smile. She accepted everyone who came into her life, and considered them to be part of her family. Ana was an avid reader, she had a thirst for knowledge, and a passion for literature. Another passion of hers was cooking. Ana would always prepare delicious meals for her family and friends. Her favorite part of cooking was watching her loved ones enjoy her special creation. Another favorite hobby of Ana's was following soccer. She enjoyed watching the games and cheering for her country. Ana will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring, and accepting human being, who put her family and friends first, and was always there for them. Ana is preceded in death by her mother Juana Barajas. She is survived by her 3 loving daughters Lizette Barajas, Stephanie Maldonado-Barajas, and Roxana Maldonado-Barajas; her adoring son Jacob Ruiz; her supportive boyfriend Mario Alanis; her father Librado Barajas; her 8 siblings; many nieces and nephews; her beloved dog Wesley; and all of her cherished friends. A funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday, July 21,2011 at Star of the Sea Church 515 Frederick St. Santa Cruz, CA beginning at 1:00 PM. A rosary service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Pacific Gardens Chapel 1050 Cayuga St. Santa Cruz, CA beginning at 6:00 PM In lieu of flowers, Ana's friends and family would appreciate donations in support of her children's continued educational aspirations.
