Obituary of Bonnie Lynn Marsalisi

Bonnie Lynn Marsalisi Bonnie Lynn Marsalisi passed away at her home in Watsonville on July 16, 2011 with her loving family by her side. She was 55. Bonnie was born in San Francisco on February 26, 1956, the daughter of Truxton and Faith Wehrman. As a child she lived for a time in Prescott, Arizona and later moved to Soquel where she was raised and was a graduate of Soquel High School. Bonnie worked as a secretary at Mission Hill Junior High and the Real Estate Center of Santa Cruz. She also worked as a clerk at Kamians Pharmacy and Frank's Pharmacy. Bonnie operated a children's daycare center from her home in Watsonville, which exemplified her passion for working with children. She always shared her gift of love, kindness and patience with her own children and the children in her care. She also taught catechism at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church in Corralitos. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time at the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Louis Marsalisi; daughters, Leah Marsalisi-Romero and Taryn Marsalisi; her sister, Ina Stice; four brothers, Mike Wehrman, Bill Wehrman, Tom Wehrman and Gus Wehrman; a step-sister, Janus Price; one grandson, Benito Romero and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend, Kathleen Ghio-Paradise. She was preceded in death by her parents, Truxton and Faith Wehrman and two step-brothers, Spike Wehrman and Butch Wehrman. Services will be Friday July 22, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA.
