Obituary of Dona Michele Abrahams - Johnson

Dona Michele Abrahams - Johnson A celebration of the life of Dona Abrahams - Johnson will be held in Aptos on Sunday, June 12, 2007 at Temple Beth El Jewish Community. Dona died at home, with her beloved family at her bedside on June 5, 2011. Born in San Francisco on October 29, 1958, she was 52 years old, and has resided in Santa Cruz County for the past 23 years. Dona was a well-known and respected teacher and school administrator with a career in education that spanned 27 years. She had a passion for teaching and worked for numerous schools in Santa Cruz County and the Bay Area. Her family and colleagues will forever remember the dedication she had to her students, always helping them strive to be the best they could be. There are many cherished memories of her love of walks on the beach, knitting, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jon Johnson, and her two daughters, Taylor Johnson and Kacey Johnson, all of Aptos. She also leaves her parents, Norman and Jan Abrahams of Los Gatos, and her sister, Louise Silk of Santa Rosa. Friends and family will gather for a celebration of her life on Sunday, June 12th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Temple Beth El (3055 Porter Gulch Rd.) in Aptos. A private committal will take place at a later date. The family asks that any kind acts of charity be made in Dona's name to Hospice of Santa Cruz or Stanford Cancer Center.
